⏰ Time-Sensitive The socialization window closes around 14-16 weeks. After this point, new experiences are processed with much more caution and fear. You only get one chance.

Safe Socialization Before Full Vaccination

Carry your puppy to see the world without touching unknown surfaces. Visit vaccinated dogs only. Join a certified puppy class (acceptable after first vaccine). Avoid dog parks and high-risk areas until vaccine series is complete.

Fear Periods

First: 8-11 weeks. Second: 6-14 months. During fear periods, never force exposure to scary things. Create distance and pair the scary thing with treats at a comfortable distance.
