Every guide on this site is written around positive reinforcement principles — the training methods backed by decades of animal behaviour science and endorsed by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB). We do not recommend punishment-based training, shock collars, prong collars as a first resort, or any method that causes fear or pain.
We believe dogs learn best — and fastest — when training is fun, rewarding, and built on trust between dog and owner.
All 23 calculators on this site are built using standard veterinary and animal nutrition formulas including the Resting Energy Requirement (RER) formula used by veterinary nutritionists, AAHA vaccination guidelines, and breed-specific growth data. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — no data is collected or stored.
